Everyone has talents. Usually, people have different talents compared to each other, but everyone's talents are unique. Without question, God has picked out our very own special skills for each one of us human beings, which is crazy to dwell on. Some people may be extremely talented at playing instruments like the piano, drums, or guitar, while some people may be talented at writing, crafting, teaching, and math, whereas others could be talented at baking or cooking. I love learning about my friends’ and family’s talents everyday. Learning how to do new things, you will have a lot of fun because you may learn a new skill that you never knew you had. As time goes by, I hope I can discover all of my secret hidden skills.
One of my favorite things to do is play the piano. Crazily, I have played the piano for nine years. In truth, I have learned piano for nine years, but the last two years I haven’t had a teacher, and I’ve taught myself piano. Playing every day, I feel like I have progressed drastically. The whole nine years I’ve learned piano, I’ve learned the tempo by ear. As amazing and helpful as that can be, it’s also a terrible thing. When I exclaim it’s a terrible thing, the only reason it’s terrible is because now I can’t read 4/4 or any other tempo number and know how to play the tempo correctly. It makes playing piano irritating. Amazingly, I’ve gotten great enough at piano where I’ve started writing my own pieces, which is fantastic! I’m very thankful that I can learn pieces fairly quickly. Hopefully, I can continue to make progress as the years go by playing the piano.
The guitar is my second favorite instrument to play. To be honest, I really like playing the guitar, but it hurts terribly playing it, so that’s why I don’t like it as much. Crazily, I’ve only played the guitar for a little over a year, which is amazing, because I've gotten so great at picking that my guitar teacher doesn't teach me picking anymore. Playing consistently, I continue to get better every day. Playing the guitar is fun. I’ve actually started writing my own songs on the guitar too. As the days pass by, hopefully I can get great enough at guitar where I can teach people how to play this cool instrument.
I absolutely love baking pastries. Usually, on my first try baking something new, I succeed. I love baking cakes the most. When I was a young child, I would bake with my Grandmother, which caused baking to become more of a hobby when I got older! I always bake when the weekend arrives. In fact, I would love to have my very own great bakery! Baking a lot, hopefully I can continue to get extremely better at baking pastries.
I love playing instruments. When I play the piano and guitar, I calm down immediately. Baking a lot, I find that it helps relieve me of stress, which helps calm myself down. Constantly, I like to try to learn new musical pieces and bake new things because you never know if you can find something else you like doing! In truth, I just started baking consistently, and I’ve gotten better slowly! I’m very happy about my progress. Hopefully, I can continue to discover my secret talents throughout my whole life.
