After purchasing this class, you will receive downloadable instructions via email.

This class is for humble seekers of the Truth. It is facilitated by a Torah-observant Christian, who believes that Yeshua's blood covers all sin and is the only way to salvation. This 11-week session will cover the book of Exodus You do not have to be a Torah-observant Christian to join our class, but you must be respectful of the views presented. :)

All families must own a copy of Foundations of Torah, by Anne Elliott. I suggest the parent-teacher edition for adults, but you may also purchase some of the journals for use with your own children at home, if desired. You can also find a full course description on the Foundations of Torah webpage. :)

Attendees will read the entire book of Deuteronomy over the course of 10 weeks. We will meet once a week for discussion and fellowship. Attendees must commit to reading the assigned Torah portion before coming to each class. It is crucial that all understanding and interpretation be based on the Word itself, and of course, it's always best to test or develop doctrine in context with surrounding scriptures.

Before coming to the very first class, attendees should read Deuteronomy 1:1-3:22. While not required, it would be beneficial to jot down any ideas or questions you have in order to get the most out of the class. There is no guarantee that anyone in the class will have an immediate answer for you, but we will help you pray about it and offer possible interpretations if we know of one or can come up with one.

We will refrain from judging each other for seeking Truth in this class. We will not judge each other if we believe we know something that others do not. We will not judge each other if someone is not in the same place in their journey as we are. We will not judge each other for coming up with unorthodox questions or interpretations. This class will be a safe space where we can all express wonder and amazement at the perfect Word of God, even if we do not yet fully understand it.

We will come to this class with the understanding that all Christians are Torah-observant on some level. (For instance, if they aren't committing murder, they are observing at least that one commandment. In fact, most Christians observe most of the Torah.) We understand that no believer is 100% Torah observant because even a person who obeys to the best of their ability is limited, at most by false doctrine, and at least by an incomplete understanding of the original Hebrew texts. (Even modern Jews do not know the meanings of some ancient Hebrew words.)

The reason we are charging for this class:

  • Free meetings such as this one almost always fizzle out in just a few week's time.
  • The teacher is obligated to be on time and prepared for discussion every week, even if nobody else shows up.
  • Paying for this class will encourage you to attend and get your money's worth, encourage you to be prepared and read the Torah portion, and encourage some of you to dig deeper to get the most out of your time and money.

Online classes meet via Zoom.

If a student is unable to complete the class for some reason, they will still have access to the weekly videos. :)

Testimonial:

Thank you, Amy, for hosting us and guiding us through another wonderful study of God's Word. I really appreciate this class/group so much, and I've learned so much! Amy, you have a beautiful way about you -- you testify of what you believe and why you believe it and how it has blessed you to walk out those beliefs, but you still leave ample room for others to ask, share, and chew on the Word for themselves. You give us the freedom we need to ask questions that are "untouchable" within the larger, mainstream Body of believers so that we can test things without reproach or condemnation. We can speak freely and throw out little ideas that might be poking at us but we don't feel safe in any other forum to even put that idea/topic out there. Because of that freedom, we can learn and grow and mature in our faith. You're a gifted facilitator ❤️, and we appreciate you. 😊😊😊
