This course helps developing writers build strong writing skills and a solid understanding of grammar, sentence structure, and creative expression. Weekly lessons will focus on:

Sentence Structure: Writing clear, complete sentences using correct grammar and punctuation. Students will learn how to organize their thoughts into coherent, well-formed sentences.

Paragraph Organization: Organizing ideas into well-structured paragraphs, with a clear topic sentence, supporting details, and a concluding sentence.

Grammar and Mechanics: Mastering the basics of grammar, including punctuation, capitalization, sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, and other essential mechanics.

Vocabulary and Word Choice: Expanding vocabulary by exploring how to choose words that best express meaning and tone in writing.

Creative and Informative Writing: Writing in a variety of formats, including creative stories and informative paragraphs, allows students to experiment with different writing styles and purposes.
This course is ideal for students who are ready to build on their ability to write basic sentences and develop more organized and expressive writing.
